You may or may not know that I am part of the first batch of what people would like to call Generation Z. Some start in 1995 others in 2000, but no matter where you're counting from, I always end up a Gen Z-er. We're also known as the iGeneration (offensive, some people have androids), Post-Millenials (offensive, as if a whole generation of people could be reduced to being the ones that came after), but most commonly known as the first generation to grow up never remembering a time without internet.
Though I didn't have Instagram when I was 6, I did pass my time going to Barbie.com and playing Polly Pocket games and searching for websites that had "girl games" that would eventually give viruses to the computer and I would get in trouble because I should've stuck to the websites that were approved. Despite me not having any social media of my own, I was aware that everyone was using MySpace and my mom would take pictures of me to post on Facebook. It wasn't until I was 12 years old that I opened my very own Facebook account. I would post pictures and attempt to be funny with my status updates and no, I will not be sharing any of those.
As years passed, I grew up, matured, so did the internet and I learned that what I shared was reaching far and wide. Which leads me to the question, Who are you? Where are you from? What languages do you speak? What do you like? What brings you here? My job here on this site is not only to share my thoughts and ideas with you, but also give you what you come here to read or see.
On Instagram I have a small following, but I do know that they're mostly female and around the ages of 13-34. Also, because I am from here and most of the people I know are from here, most of my followers are from Puerto RIco followed closely by the U.S. I do have male following but it's not as large as my female following or as active. Based on this information I try to create Instagram content for the young woman who is socially aware, confident (or trying to get there) in who she is, but she's also busy, so lighthearted, encouraging posts in the afternoon are key.
Here on the website, I noticed that I've had visitors directly from universities, so I keep that in mind when writing new posts. The girl who comes on the website is busy, but she's also looking for new, entertaining content that is educational at the same time. You may have noticed the posts about the creative process of design or fashion business.
These stories are important to me, but I want to know what is important to you. What piques your interest. Whether that be fashion ootds, business, beauty, positivity or all of them at once. I want to create the content you want to see. To do that, I need to get to know you. So,who are you?
