I don't have a Valentine, but that will not and will never stop me from looking cute on Valentine's Day. I put together this little number with hopes to inspire you no matter how you celebrate this year. I kept to the CVS/Walgreen's Commercial Valentine's color palette with red, pink and white.
This adorable gingham dress is from ASOS and I got it on sale for an amazing price! Friends said I looked like Strawberry Shortcake in this look and I am honestly not mad at all at this comparison. Strawberry Shortcake was my number one favorite character growing up and to this day I own a few DVD's and dolls.
The Gingham print is so associated with picnics and that just makes me think of fresh fruit, chocolate and that scene in High School Musical 2 where Troy and Gabriella get caught in the sprinklers of that super saturated green golf course. Btw, HSM is the most romantic teen movie of the late 2000's, so I'm obviously inspired for this holiday.
Teamed up with my pastel pink Peanuts Vans and frilly socks, the outfit is dressed down and super sweet for a comfy, perfect Valentine's Day no matter who you're hanging out with or where.
Tip: Go up a size or two on your smock dress for an oversized, sweet look (and extra comfy đ)
The bracelet I'm wearing was a gift from my mom from the jewelry brand Origami Owl and omg their charms are so freaking cute! I can't wait to get my locket to show you what I have inside and a close up of this bracelet, but it deserves its own post!
